Maria McGlynn

Head of Fundraising

Maria is a Transition Year student in Mean Scoil Mhuire Longford. She has a passion for music and has played piano since the age of 6. She’s been a part of Evolution Stage School in Longford since five years of age and has featured in all their October productions since 2013. Maria has also featured in Longford Traditional Panto’s productions of ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Billy and the Beanstalk.’ She is a volunteer with her local Special Olympics swimming branch and she recently featured in St.Christopher’s services production of ‘Rhyming Cinderella.’ She’s also a huge supporter of her local GAA club Longford Slashers and is a coach of the U6s team in her spare time. Maria is a sister of Patrick and Edward and witnessing her two brothers flourish despite all the obstacles they have overcome inspired her to create the "GoYellow" campaign. Maria is so privileged for the opportunity to fundraise for the hospitals that saved her brother's lives.

Aoibheann Brennan Grennan

Vice Head of Fundraising

Aoibheann is sixteen years old and a transition year student in Mean Scoil Mhuire Longford, despite being the Roscommon side of the border ! She’s been a member of Evolution Stage School since the age of 3 and has performed in all of their October shows to date as well as featuring in their trips to Bord Gais Energy Theatre to perform in ‘The Snowman.’ She is a soprano in the Irish Youth Training Choir and has sang with Una Healy and featured on RTE’s ‘Match of the Day’ with IYTC. She is also a Special Olympics swimming volunteer and cherishes the time she spends with her team on a Monday evening. As well as this. She volunteers at the Family Mass in St.Mel’s Cathedral as she works towards her Pope John Paul II awards. ‘Go Yellow!’ means so much to Aoibheann as she has grown up around Maria and her family. They have been friends for 13 years. Aoibheann has witnessed first hand the amazing work these hospitals do. Aoibheann hopes that by raising these funds another family, like Maria’s will get to have a success story.

Shauna Nolan

Head of I.T and Advertising

Shauna is a Transition Year student in Mean Scoil Mhuire Longford and is sixteen years old. In school, she is a member of the Prefect and Peer Mentor Teams as well as her sports involvement where she plays Gaelic Football for her school and her beloved club of Clonguish and the true ‘love of her life’ swimming. Shauna is a member of the school Swimming Club and swam for Ireland as part of the 2023 FICEP Games. She is also part of the Special Olympics swimming volunteer program where she cherishes the opportunity to be a coach and teach the sport she adores. Shauna is an avid car fanatic and spends hours in her family garage ‘Nolan Motors’ where she soaks up every possible bit of motor knowledge she can as she patiently waits for the day, she can drive a car! Shauna understands the importance of the healthcare system from her own experiences and took the time to get involved in ‘Go Yellow!’ As she feels it is such an important campaign and she is keen to help in any way she can, and she hopes you feel the same!

Ava Finneran

Secretary

Ava is a Transition Year student in Mean Scoil Mhuire Longford. She is a huge sportswoman as a member of the Longford Ladies Minor Panel and Captain of the county winning Killoe U16 team. She also features on Killoe Ladies Senior Panel. She is a member of St.Mel’s Musical Society and will appear in the ensemble of their upcoming production of ‘Legally Blonde’ in April. As secretary, Ava’s main role has been to oversee the establishment of "GoYellow". Ava has kept everything and everyone at bay and remains a calming light for the girls. As part of ‘Go Yellow!’ Ava hopes to show people that the NMH and CHI are absolutely vital organisations and encourage them raise lots of funds for them!
